It was a typical winter evening when small dog who didn´t have a name was walking on a sidewalk. As he reached the town square he saw a lot of happy people, he didn´t understand why they were so happy at times like this. He liked the warm sunny days way better since he didn´t have a home. “I hate this!” he thought, because it was cold and snowing everywhere. The only thing he liked about this were the Christmas lights around the whole town. “Wow!” his eyes light up every time he saw them. The dog decided to sleep near one of the markets selling food, the workers occasionally gave him some.

He woke up to hearing some voices approaching the market. “Where is the owner of this dog?” a lady asked as she was buying some food from the market “Oh, don´t mind him, he doesn´t have an owner he just comes here for food.” one of the workers said. “Is that so? Then I´ll take him.”

The dog wakes up near a warm fireplace with some food in front of him. He hears voices again as the door begin to open. “Mom what is the present? I can´t wait to see it!” the next second a bunch of children are petting him with big smiles on their faces. “Mom can i name him Thor?” Dylan asks. “Sure sweetie”. At first he is confused about this new place full of new people, but he´s getting used to the warmth of home very easily.

Thor is now sitting by the window watching Christmas lights and snowflakes falling from the sky with three children, Dylan, Oliver and Violet. He finally understands why are people happy on Christmas.
